Andrew Jones is a third year iPhD student at UMKC’s Biostatistics and Health Informatics program, with a co-discipline of Cellular Biology and Biophysics. His research interests include bigdata epidemiology, infectious and neglected tropical diseases in underserved communities in the United States. He is an Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas in the Clinical Laboratory Science department, where he teaches doctoral and undergraduate classes in microbiology, mycology & parasitology, healthcare management and serves as a research mentor and advisor for DCLS students. Andrew was born and raised in Kansas City and still lives in Overland Park. He received his undergraduate degree from KU, master’s in business from Baker University, and enjoys going to Chiefs games.
