Denise A. Baker holds a Ph.D. from Arizona State University, where she served as a NSF IGERT Fellow for the Alliance for Person-centered Accessible Technologies (APAcT). Now an Assistant Professor at Missouri University of Science and Technology, Baker runs that PsyTE lab (Psychology, Technology, and Engineering Lab) which engages in interdisciplinary research exploring how concepts from cognitive and social psychology can inform and be informed by the design, application, and infrastructure of smart technologies such as wearables.
